After working a 13-hour shift as an EMT, then immediately catching an early bird flight, then (after purchasing the bus) spending two hours in an Oregon DMV, then spending seven hours buying parts and making the bus road worthy, it’s time for seven hours of sleep or so. Only made it to Eugene, but tomorrow is the biggest driving day, and it’ll start when it’s still dark.
GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! The last 90 minutes of driving haven’t resulted more than maybe a 100ml loss of oil, which is way better than the two quarts lost in the first fifteen. And the heater stopped smoking out the cabin, though it still smells like burning oil and CO.
Updates will resume in a few hours.
